Nashville Hockey

The Nashville Predators are the professional ice hockey team based out of Nashville.

The Predators are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference associated with the National Hockey League. Beginning in 1995, Nashville attempted to bring a hockey team into their city, even going so far as building a hockey arena in town before they officially had a team. In 1997, the NHL made Nashville a deal: a hockey team would start in Nashville the following season (1998) if they could sell 12,000 tickets in a certain time frame. Despite rumors of relocation, the Predators have been in Nashville since 1997.

The team plays out of Bridgestone Arena each season.
